Directly to BRNO: The Brno-Tuřany International Airport (IATA: BRQ) is located 7.5 km southeast of the city center. The airport terminal is approximately 2 km from the D1 highway, near Exit 201 Brno-Slatina. Several low-cost airlines operate flights from the airport – Ryanair and Wizz Air. Ryanair connects Brno to London (Stansted) daily. Wizz Air competes on this route and flies to London Luton airport. In addition, flights are available to Eindhoven, where it is possible to connect to other destinations for a low cost.
The express city bus line number 76 stops at the terminal and travels to the bus station at the Grand Hotel in the city centre near to the main railway station with a total journey time of approximately 20 minutes. Taxis are also available in front of the terminal.

Via PRAGUE: The Václav Havel Airport Prague (IATA: PRG) is the international airport of Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. It is located 10 kilometres west of the city centre and serves as a hub for Czech Airlines as well as a base for Travel Service Airlines including its subsidiary SmartWings and is also a base for low-cost carrier Wizz Air.
Brno is located about 230 km south-east from Prague. The RegioJet (formerly Student Agency) offers 20 daily coach buses to Brno. You change the bus at Florenc station in Prague.
Via VIENNA: The Vienna International Airport (IATA: VIE) is the international airport of Vienna, the capital of Austria, located in Schwechat, 18 km south-east of central Vienna. It is the country's biggest airport and serves as the hub for Austrian Airlines and Niki.
Brno is located about 150 km north from Vienna. The RegioJet (formerly Student Agency) offers 8 daily direct buses from the airport to Brno.

Brno can be easily reached from all major cities in the Czech Republic (including Prague, Olomouc, Ostrava) through a network of highways and motorways.

Ostrava-Brno – distance: 170 km, time: 1 h 40 min
For travel on highways in the Czech Republic, a vignette sticker is necessary. Vignettes can be purchased at all Czech Post branches, fuel stations, border crossings and other places providing services for motorists.
Excellent bus connections between Brno and the rest of Europe are provided by several bus operators. Brno is also the starting point and final destination of many national bus lines. The Zvonařka central bus terminal is operated by Tourbus and provides international and domestic transportation. Another important bus station is the Brno Grand Hotel station located on Benešová street (by Grand Hotel Brno). This station is used by many long distance domestic and international operators such as RegioJet (formerly Student Agency), Tourbus, Eurolines. The South Moravian region also offers a sophisticated Integrated transportation system (public city transportation, buses and trains).
Brno is also an important railway junction.
The main railway station is located directly in the city center and transportation is provided by České dráhy (Czech Railways).
Comfortable transport by rail in the Czech Republic and abroad is provided by several above-standard trains (category SC, EC, IC) and
standard quality trains also (category Sp, Os, R, Ex).
Tickets for main train connections can be purchased on-line.
There are several hotels in walking distance to the conference venue. If you prefer accommodation in the city centre, you can use tram no. 12 to get to the conference venue (see Public Transport).

The conference venue is located at North-west of the Brno outside the city centre.
You can use a tram no. 12 to the terminal stop TECHNOLOGICKÝ PARK (see map below) and continue on 400 meters on foot or alternatively use the bus no. 53 for two stops to PODNIKATELSKÁ (which is a request stop). Regarding line no. 53, please note that it takes a slightly different route from PODNIKATELSKÁ to TECHNOLOGICKÝ PARK than from TECHNOLOGICKÝ PARK to PODNIKATELSKÁ!
Tram line no. 12 has a stop in front of the Brno main railway station which is close to the Brno Grand Hotel bus station located in Benešova street (see map). This tram station is one of the traffic nodes of Brno public transport, you should find the connection from other areas of Brno easily.

The city center is in the tariff zone 100 and the conference venue is in the tariff zone 101. A one-way ticket for 25 CZK (valid for 1 hour) is enough to get to the conference venue from all areas of Brno. There are no return tickets. Here you can find where the tickets are sold. Tickets can be also from the driver (with additional charge).
You can also buy a one-day ticket for 150 CZK or a five day ticket for 250 CZK. However, these tickets are sold only at DPMB outlets. One of them is here, near the ČERVINKOVA stop of tram line no.12 (two stops before the terminal station TECHNOLOGICKÝ PARK). They accept VISA and MasterCard.

There are several licensed taxi service companies in Brno. Licensed taxis must have a yellow TAXI sign on the roof of the car, contact number next to the driver’s door, and the price of fare and the company name on the driver’s door. Drivers have to use a taximeter during the drive.
Since the Czech Republic is a member of the European Union and a member of the Schengen Area, non-EU country citizens and visitors from some overseas countries can enter Czech Republic only with a valid entry visa. The currency of the Czech Republic is a Czech crown/koruna (CZK). Most credit cards are accepted in most shops, restaurants, and hotels. Cash can be withdrawn with credit cards from ATM machines. There are many ATM machines in Brno and two near the conference venue: in Halls of Residence of Brno University of Technology (800m from the conference venue, Kolejní 2905/2, see here) and and near the tram stop TECHNOLOGICKÝ PARK (600 m from the conference venue, Purkynova 646/107, see here). ATM machines and currency exchange are at Brno and Prague airports, in the city centers and in some hotels. In Czech Republic, tipping is common in restaurants depending on the service ranging from 5 to 10 %.
Electric power distribution in the Czech Republic is 230 V/ 50 Hz. The plug and socket type used is the European standard 3-pin plug type E which also works with plug type C.
During the conference you will have an access to the Conference wireless network. The WiFi code will be included in your registration pack. The most hotels and guest houses offer free WiFi.
